What is the job role?
As our new Internal Audit Delivery Manageryou will play a pivotal role in delivering our audit plan and upholding professional audit standards.
You will:
- Lead the supervision, review and quality assurance of audit work across the team.
- Undertake your own high‑quality audit assignments from planning through to reporting.
- Support the Chief Internal Auditor in delivering an effective, professional and responsive audit function.
- Help shape and embed continuous improvement within the team
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a qualified and / or experienced Internal Auditor with:
- A strong understanding of the Global Internal Audit Standards in the UK Public Sector.
- A proven ability to supervise, coach and support auditors to deliver high‑quality work.
- Excellent IT skills and confidence in leading the end‑to‑end audit process.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, professional ethics and adding value through assurance work.
