We have an exciting opportunity for a Street Scene Operative – Level 1 to join our Dudley North team. A job description and person specification are available on request.

We are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Street Scene Operative – Level 1 (Grade 4) to join our Street Scene service on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic chance to be part of a forward‑thinking, dedicated team committed to delivering top‑quality, customer‑focused street cleansing and grounds maintenance services in a modern, efficient, and effective way. Our Street Scene service now brings both functions together to provide a seamless approach to maintaining the borough.

This important position forms part of our front‑line workforce, carrying out a range of street cleansingoperations across the Dudley Borough.

Typical duties include:

  • Duties will include: Litter picking and bin emptying, manual sweeping & fly‑tipping removal
  • Some grounds maintenance duties may be required to include weed removal, maintaining planted areas and general tidying.

The role will primarily focus on street cleansing within the Dudley North area. The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong team working qualities, with the ability to undertake efficient daily operations and provide support to team members.

Flexibility is essential, as duties and locations may vary depending on service needs.
