FULL DESCRIPTION

The Community Equipment Service (CES) supports people with disabilities with their care needs by providing appropriate community equipment across various settings to the population of Dudley MBC. This service is an integrated and jointly commissioned initiative between Adult Social Care and the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group. The role of the CES Team assistants has a mixture of duties and assists with telephone enquiries, reception duties and all elements of storage and issuing equipment, cleaning and maintenance of warehouse stock and to ensure that decontamination procedures are followed to maintain the integrity of the Infection Control policy in place.

The Community Equipment Service (CES) supports people with disabilities with their care needs by providing appropriate community equipment across various settings to the population of Dudley MBC. This service is an integrated and jointly commissioned initiative between Adult Social Care and the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group.

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Salary: Grade 4

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated individual with a willingness to learn to join our Community Equipment Service.

The role of the CES Team assistants has a mixture of duties and assists with telephone enquiries, reception duties and all elements of storage and issuing equipment, cleaning and maintenance of warehouse stock and to ensure that decontamination procedures are followed to maintain the integrity of the Infection Control policy in place.

Also, to assist all members of the Community Equipment Service team to provide a speedy and efficient service to recycle/dispose of equipment which will assist with maintaining appropriate stock levels within the Service.

To contribute to an efficient service and facilitate early hospital discharge and to help to maintain people in their own homes.

Key requirements:

  • Have an understanding of the equipment the Community Equipment Service provide e.g. mobility, bathing and toileting
  • Have an awareness of a front facing service to the general public.
  • Full clean driving license and ability to drive Ces Vans
  • Physical ability to manually handle and lift community equipment within safe working loads.
  • You'll also be comfortable liaising with different people and be confident in using a computer.
