Group Premises Maintenance Technician

Full Time Permanent

Grade 4, Spinal Point 5, £25,583

37 hours per week, All Year Round

South Staffordshire Learning Partnership

Overtime available where necessary. Occasional late-night finishes for school events and no weekend working.

The successful candidate will provide efficient and effective maintenance and Janitor support to the South Staffordshire Learning Partnership schools (Bilbrook CE Middle School, Codsall Community High School, Lane Green First School, Perton Middle School & St Chads CE First School), including ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards and that heating systems operate at optimum efficiency. Alongside driving the school mini bus and a willingness to undertake a mini bus driving test.

The role will include;

  • Responsibility for maintaining the security of the premises and its contents.
  • Maintaining appropriate checks and records such as grounds surveys, ladders and water temperature checks.
  • In the event of a burst or leaking water pipe, turn off the water and clean up all spillage and furnishings.
  • Ensuring that gullies and drains etc are free from debris and that the school grounds are kept tidy and free from hazardous plants.
  • Undertaking repairs, projects and redecoration tasks as required.
  • Maintenance and minor repairs to fixtures, fittings and furnishings.
  • Portage tasks as required and moving furniture
  • Attending, where appropriate, personnel visiting and working on site.
