FULL DESCRIPTION

This is a unique opportunity for a Social Worker to be part of an integrated multi-disciplinary specialist mental health team. This allows for the meaningful integration of the social care agenda within the local Mental Health Trust and prioritises a holistic person-centred approach to meeting the needs and outcomes of the local population.

Job Details

This allows for the meaningful integration of the social care agenda within the local Mental Health Trust and prioritises a holistic person-centred approach to meeting the needs and outcomes of the local population.

The successful applicant will take a strengths-based approach to supporting people with a diagnosis of dementia. Social workers will also work as part of a new pathway which supports Older Adults with a range of mental disorders including schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, OCD and personality disorder with a view to enhancing quality of life; promoting wellbeing and independence; and upholding dignity and human rights.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, a head for complexity, and a desire to improve the outcomes and wellbeing of those you work with.

If the successful applicant is a qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) you will be part of a countywide AMHP rota assessing people of all ages who are experiencing a mental health crisis. If the successful applicant is a social worker, you will, when ready, be expected to train as an AMHP.

Warwickshire has a population of just over 570,000 and hundreds of acres of beautiful countryside. Towns in the North include Nuneaton, Rugby and Bedworth while Warwick, Kenilworth and Royal Leamington Spa can be found in the South, along with Shakespeare’s birthplace of Stratford-upon-Avon.
