Are you an organised, proactive professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting senior leaders?

We are looking for a Leadership Support Officer (LSO) to provide high‑quality administrative and executive support to Service Directors within the Assistant Chief Executive Directorate. This is a key role at the heart of the organisation, supporting senior management to operate effectively while ensuring professionalism, confidentiality and excellent customer service at all times.

As a Leadership Support Officer, you will:

  • Provide exceptional administrative and executive support to Service Directors, ensuring their service areas run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Manage complex diaries, meetings and correspondence, using initiative and sound judgement to prioritise workloads and resolve issues.
  • Organise, attend and minute meetings, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature, tracking actions and ensuring follow‑up.
  • Support the delivery of strategic objectives through forward planning, monitoring deadlines and coordinating information across services.

If you have:

Experience providing high‑level administrative or executive support in a complex organisation, including diary management, meetings and correspondence. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage professionally with senior officers, elected members and external stakeholders. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines. High levels of confidentiality and discretion, with experience handling sensitive and politically sensitive information appropriately. Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and digital collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint. Then we would love to hear from you!
