[Employer hidden] are seeking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to join the Central Finance Team.

The Finance Business Partner plays a key role in delivering high-quality financial management, reporting, and support across the Trust.

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the postholder acts as the finance lead for a group of schools, taking ownership of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, and providing clear financial insight and challenge to support effective decision-making.

The role works closely with headteachers, school leaders, and central teams, acting as a key link between finance and operations, and requires travel across local school sites.

Contract: Full-time, permanent (37 hours per week all year round)

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary NJC points 34-37: £45,091- £48,226 (further pay award April 2026)

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the finance lead for allocated schools, building strong relationships with headteachers and leaders
  • Provide clear financial insight, advice, and challenge to support decision-making and outcomes
  • Produce high-quality monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Lead budgeting and multi-year financial planning, ensuring plans are realistic and sustainable
  • Identify financial risks, pressures, and opportunities, and drive practical solutions
  • Ensure strong financial control, compliance, and understanding across schools
  • Work collaboratively with central teams to align finance with operational priorities
  • Support continuous improvement, efficiency, and value for money across the Trust

The role will be primarily based at the Trust Central Offices with a requirement to travel between Trust schools and beyond as required.
