THE ROLE

YOUR BACKGROUND

You may come from a position within Commissioning of demand led services, or from another commercial background with an understanding of Adult Social Care. You will be able to tangibly demonstrate experience and ability to meet the person specification criteria, in particular:

  • experience of undertaking research and analysis
  • experience in the delivery of service development, improvements and changes in practice
  • experience of working in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver service improvements and practice changes
  • experience of developing a variety of communication materials suitable to the needs of a range of audiences
  • ability to work in a project environment in order to manage deadlines, budgets and priorities whilst dealing with multiple demands and unexpected situations
  • ability to manage their own work programme, to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • ability to work under pressure to meet the demands of the role
  • good communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing through meetings and formal reports

It is essential that the post holder is:

  • Willing to study and achieve a level 5 qualification relevant to the commissioning of services in the public sector
  • Able to travel, on occasion to across the county for Council and/or provider meetings
