Teaching Assistant (more than one role available)

Permanent – Term Time only 39.2 weeks per year Part Time working 27.5 hours per week – Flexible options available including Job Share and Apprenticeship routes

Salary: Grade 4*(SCP 6 – 7) £25,989 – £26,403 per annum pro rata * based on qualified status Actual starting salary £16,773.78 - £17,040.98 per annum Apprentice candidates will be paid on government apprenticeship rates.

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT, we are seeking to appoint a caring, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate to offer support to students, to deliver small group interventions and lessons for students who have additional Literacy needs, over and above that of their peers.

We welcome applications from those with a Level 2 qualification, gained equivalent knowledge and skills through hands-on experience, or those seeking an apprenticeship with a willingness to continue their learning and development and to commit to ongoing school support. Please refer to the person specification in the Job Description.

You will have good Maths and English skills and an aptitude to support students to access the curriculum both within the classroom, supporting the teacher and in small groups as directed by senior staff or teachers. You will be a dedicated team player with the ability to work on your own initiative to support our students effectively while embracing strategies as directed by our professional colleagues.
