FULL DESCRIPTION

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor (up to Associate Director) to join a specialist, forward-thinking property consultancy working with high-profile occupier, investor and developer clients. This role offers exposure to a diverse commercial portfolio, delivering high-quality building surveying services across transactions, asset management and project work. You’ll be part of a dynamic and agile team, with the opportunity to take on real responsibility while developing your career in a supportive environment.

Role & Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor (up to Associate Director):

  • Delivering building surveying services across a varied commercial property portfolio
  • Undertaking pre-acquisition surveys and technical due diligence (TDD) reporting
  • Advising on and negotiating dilapidations claims
  • Developing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and lifecycle advice
  • Acting as Contract Administrator on refurbishment and improvement projects
  • Providing project monitoring services to stakeholders and funders
  • Advising on statutory compliance and building regulations
  • Managing multiple instructions and delivering work to a high technical standard
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

Skills & Experience of the Building Surveyor:

  • Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline
  • MRICS or working towards desirable
  • Experience across commercial building surveying services
  • Either professional and project side building surveying experience, training can be provide
  • Commercial awareness and ability to deliver pragmatic advice
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Comfortable travelling to sites regionally and nationally

Salary & Benefits:

  • up to £75k base salary (depending on experience)
