FULL DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor / Architectural Technician to join a growing and forward-thinking consultancy delivering work across the Defence & Security sector. This is a unique hybrid role combining technical design and building surveying responsibilities, ideal for someone with strong AutoCAD skills who also enjoys broader involvement in project delivery, technical advice and site-based work.

Role & Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor / Architectural Technician:

  • Producing accurate technical drawings and design packages using AutoCAD (Revit desirable)
  • Supporting project delivery across refurbishment and new build schemes
  • Assisting with specifications and technical documentation
  • Undertaking site inspections and supporting construction delivery
  • Supporting condition surveys and defect diagnosis
  • Assisting with contract administration and project coordination
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and project teams
  • Ensuring compliance with building regulations and technical standards

Skills & Experience of the Building Surveyor / Architectural Technician:

  • Experience in a technical design or building surveying role
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (Revit desirable)
  • Understanding of construction drawings, specifications and standards
  • Good communication and team collaboration skills
  • Interest in both design and building surveying work
