FULL DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor / Architectural Technician to join a growing and forward-thinking consultancy delivering work across the Defence & Security sector. This is a unique hybrid role combining technical design and building surveying responsibilities, ideal for someone with strong AutoCAD skills who also enjoys broader involvement in project delivery, technical advice and site-based work.
Role & Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor / Architectural Technician:
- Producing accurate technical drawings and design packages using AutoCAD (Revit desirable)
- Supporting project delivery across refurbishment and new build schemes
- Assisting with specifications and technical documentation
- Undertaking site inspections and supporting construction delivery
- Supporting condition surveys and defect diagnosis
- Assisting with contract administration and project coordination
- Liaising with clients, contractors and project teams
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations and technical standards
Skills & Experience of the Building Surveyor / Architectural Technician:
- Experience in a technical design or building surveying role
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (Revit desirable)
- Understanding of construction drawings, specifications and standards
- Good communication and team collaboration skills
- Interest in both design and building surveying work
