FULL DESCRIPTION
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a growing and forward-thinking construction consultancy based in Winchester. This is a client-facing, delivery-focused role offering exposure to a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, heritage and public sector projects. Schemes range from refurbishment through to new build, with project values up to £50m.
Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:
- Leading projects through all RIBA stages from feasibility to completion
- Acting as the key client contact and managing stakeholder relationships
- Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and consultants
- Managing project programmes, risk and reporting
- Chairing project meetings and overseeing delivery on site
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard
- Providing technical advice across procurement and contract strategy
- Managing contract administration (JCT / NEC and other forms)
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Contributing to business development and repeat client work
Skills & Experience of the Senior Project Manager:
- Proven experience in project management within a consultancy or client-side environment
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery
- Experience delivering projects across multiple sectors
- Knowledge of JCT, NEC or other contract forms
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- MRICS, MCIOB, APM or working towards desirable
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
