Advanced Pharmacist
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an innovative and inspirational advanced clinical pharmacist to lead on education and training for the pharmacy department, working closely with the chief technician. You will coordinate the supervision and training of undergraduate pharmacy students, foundation and post foundation pharmacists, as well as being given the opportunity to specialise in another clinical area.
You must hold a Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have completed a post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience or qualifications.You will be expected to undertake Emergency Duty Commitment (on-call), work weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota.
The post is full-time, but part-time and job share applications will be considered.
As an advanced Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of a patient-focused clinical pharmacy service, working within a specialism to develop the pharmacist role, e.g. in pharmacist-led clinics as an IP, working with the multidisciplinary team, monitoring financial expenditure, undertaking research and service improvement projects. The successful candidate will also provide dispensary cover and undertake clinical checking of haematology and oncology prescriptions.
