Description & Scope: [Employer hidden] Abingdon (AbTC) is part of [Employer hidden]’s global network of research and engineering centres.AbTC is a dynamic, high-tech environment with state-of-the-art computing and research facilities. Your role will be to work within the IT support department helping deliver first class services and solutions to the research community.
Description & Scope:
- Assisting in administering the Abingdon Linux and Windows infrastructure
- Troubleshooting hardware, operating systems and software
- Researching innovative ideas and solutions within different areas of IT
- Assist with managing audio and video conference systems based at Abingdon
Requirements
- Studying degree in Computer Studies, Computing, IT or a related discipline - Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity - You will have a passionate interest in IT - You have the ability to communicate technical issues to a wide audience - You will not hesitate to get stuck in and solve difficult problems - You understand basic programming principles
