Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated 7.5T Driver to join our team in Derby. You will be part of the high standard of service we offer to our customers, the purpose of this role is to deliver goods from the branch to customers at a variety of destinations in and around the branch’s surrounding area on a 7.5t Lorry or a Pickup truck

What you’ll be doing as a 7.5t Driver:

  • You will travel alone without on-vehicle mechanical offload devices
  • You will be expected to promote the company in a positive light through a courteous, helpful, and professional approach to customers
  • To focus on load security & highway laws and drive safely and lawfully
  • To drive efficiently to delivery destinations and in reasonable time, working to achieve the expected daily number of deliveries as appropriate
  • To supervise the offload of goods at the destination manually yourself and/or with onsite personnel, and/or onsite personnel-operated plant
  • To provide a prompt, polite, helpful, and professional service to customers at the delivery destination, always promoting a positive company image
  • To drive efficiently to delivery destinations and in reasonable time, working to achieve the expected daily number of deliveries as appropriate

Requirements

Your Skills:

  • Full Class 2 Licence
  • CPC Card
  • To focus on load security & highway laws and drive safely and lawfully
  • To supervise the offload of goods at the destination manually yourself and/or with onsite personnel, and/or onsite personnel-operated plant
  • To provide a prompt, polite, helpful, and professional service to customers at the delivery destination, always promoting a positive company image
  • Timber knowledge (Desirable not essential)
  • Manual Handling Training (Desirable not essential)
