Job description

Drive Through Operative:

Beesley and Files are a long-established family-run builders’ merchant with strong roots across the Northwest. Our timber drive through is one of the busiest parts of the branch, offering customers quick, convenient access to high-quality timber products. We are look for a Drive-Through Operative to help keep things running smoothly, and deliver the friendly, reliable service we are known for.

Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30am – 17:00pm and alternate Saturdays 08:00am – 12:00pm

Main Duties:

  • · Serving customers with a friendly, professional approach
  • · Picking, loading and preparing timber orders safely and accurately
  • · Advising customers on timber products, sizes and availability
  • · Checking stock levels and supporting stock rotation
  • · Working closely with the yard, sales and transport teams to ensure smooth operations
  • · Following all health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment

Requirements

Requirements:

  • · Previous experience in a builder’s merchant setting
  • · A Forklift licence (desirable)
  • · Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers
  • · Strong awareness of safety and safe working practices
