FULL DESCRIPTION

Apprentice Early Years Educator Level 5

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Apprentice Early Years Educator (Level 5) to join our friendly and supportive early years team. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity for you to develop and advance your skills in early years practice while working directly with children. You will support the delivery of high quality early education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and work towards achieving the Level 5 Early Years Educator qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning activities in line with EYFS
  • Promote inclusive practice and support children’s individual learning and development
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress using our approved assessment methods
  • Work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment
  • Follow all the company’s policies and procedures, with specific reference to Safeguarding

Essential Criteria

Personal Qualities

  • A passion for working with children aged 0–5
  • Commitment to completing a Level 5 apprenticeship programme
  • Flexibility – occasionally working hours might be changed, e.g. if the setting hosts a Parent’s Evening
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to reflect on practice and support continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
  • Some understanding of the importance of Health & Safety and food hygiene in the workplace

Desirable Criteria

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification is desirable
  • GCSE in Science at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) desirable
