Support Worker

Job title:  MaleDay Support Worker  Location:Milton Keynes - Tattenhoe Salary:£12.82 per hour Role: 42 hours per week Shifts:7am-2pm & 2pm-9pm on a rota basis with alternate weekend working, must be flexible to work across all shifts You must have 12 months experience within a care environment supporting those with Autism and behaviours that may be described as challenging due to this being a challenging emvironment PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS NOT OPEN TO SPONSORSHIP

About the service

Howe Park set in lovely rural location provides a step-down service for adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism & behaviour which may be described as challenging. Each individual is provided with their own flat alongside access to the internal and external communal spaces. It balances the opportunity for independence development with social integration.

Support Worker duties:

  • Supporting residents to develop independence and life skills
  • Assisting people to achieve daily goals & daily activities such as arts, crafts, hobbies
  • Assisting with the development of person centred plans for our residents
  • This includes employment, education and other opportunities
  • Maintaining records and drawing up risk assessments
  • Providing personal care where needed always working towards more independence
  • Supporting people in undertaking daily activities or development
