To make this ambition a reality, building world‑class commercial capability across Marketing and Sales is critical. We’re now looking for a Commercial Capabilities Controller to lead this agenda – a high‑impact role at the heart of our Commercial community.
What you'll be doing?
- Leading a comprehensive capability assessment across Marketing and Sales and translating this into clear, actionable roadmaps
- Designing and delivering flagship capability programmes such as Marketing Academy, Sales / Commercial Academy and other functional academies, working with internal L&D and external partners
- Driving ongoing Marketing capability initiatives (e.g. bite‑size learning programmes), bringing best‑in‑class external thinking into the business
- Building strong, collaborative relationships across the Commercial community and wider organisation
- Playing an active role in wider company priorities, including simplification, process improvement and agency capability
- Regularly updating Marketing & Sales SLTs, with occasional input into ELT and senior leadership forums
What we need from you?
- An eperienced leader with a strong understanding of how complex, commercial organisations operate
- Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, confidently presenting ideas and recommendations
- A genuine passion for capability building, learning and organisational development
- Strong communication skills and experience managing agencies and external partners
- Highly organised, delivery-focused and comfortable operating with autonomy
- Collaborative by nature, with a track record of working cross‑functionally and bringing people on the journey
- Numerate, data‑literate and confident translating insight into action
