​Loading Bay Supervisor

Location: Lagness, Chichester

We are currently looking for a Loading Bay Supervisor to join our team on an ongoing temporary contract.

Role Overview

To oversee all aspects of the physical loading and unloading of goods vehicles, ensuring accuracy at all times against corresponding paperwork for goods and trolleys.

Pay & Hours

- Pay rate: £14.00 per hour

- Hours: Min. 39 hours per week ongoing

- Must be available to work at least one day over the weekend; currently averaging 50 hours per week

Main Tasks of Job:

·         Ensure all vehicles are physically loaded accurately and Goods secured safely in conjunction with the driver.

·         Communicating with drivers.

·         Supervision of staff working within the loading team.

·         Ensuring high standards are maintained across all aspects of the role.

·         Cleanliness – keeping working environment clean and tidy daily.

·         Recording of transactions made during the day.

·         Making sure working areas are not littered with Trolleys

·         Action Plan from Logistic Coordinator to make ready empty trollies for deliveries to Nurseries

Requirements

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Ability to work long hours and weekends as required

- Reliable, organised, and safety-focused

- Previous experience in a loading bay, warehouse, or supervisory role desirable
