[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at a brand-new, nurse-led residential service in Melton Mowbray supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering a pioneering service.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
- Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
- Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
- Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
- Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.

What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or a related area, or an equivalent or higher recognised qualification, along with a GCSE or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths. It is recognised that not all new recruits will already hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification; however, they will be expected to commence the attainment process within six months of joining and complete the qualification within a specified timeframe. Experience of working in a related environment is desirable.
