[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Hospital Solihull is looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 a week. Located in Meriden, Warwickshire, [Employer hidden] Hospital Solihull is a 31-bedded hospital supporting the NHS by offering level 2 rehabilitation services for males.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Ensures the maintenance of a well decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the unit, in line with quality standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
  • Manages, oversees and undertakes a variety of general maintenance jobs as required, with particular focus on ensuring that patient / pupil related jobs are completed as a priority. Prioritises the work of Maintenance Assistants and/or Gardeners as befits their skill level.
  • Identifies damage, faults and other related issues, and priorities their repair or replacement, whilst ensuring that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations. Receives and acts upon information concerning faults or damage.
  • Liaises with local contractors on site, as required, providing local knowledge and guidance, in order that planned and preventative maintenance schedules can be completed in a timely fashion. Additionally, monitors local contracts as required, deals with any variances directly with contractors.

The role holder is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality and identity of patients, students, and pupils residing at or attending [Employer hidden] units. They must hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a key electrical, mechanical, or building trade, with Joint Industries Board (JIB) approved status. Candidates should also have experience gained within a facilities, operational, trade, or maintenance role.
