FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the team. This is a bank role.

Evergreen Lodge is located in South Croydon, in Croydon. The home offers residential support for 12 males with mental health needs. We are in a quiet area, just off a main road.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

  • Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
  • Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
  • Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
  • Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

You will have some experience working within Mental Health and good literacy and digital skills in order to be able to effectively update our resident records. 

The bank hours will cover day and night shifts so you'll have flexibility to work both.
