Physical Health Nurse

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Hospital Bristol are looking for a part-time Physical Health Nurse to join the team working 7.5 hours per week.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

  • To provide support to the Nursing and wider MDTs, in ensuring the patients in the defined area have their physical healthcare nursing needs identified, care planned and evaluated in accordance with best practice and clinical evidence
  • Provide advice and support to colleagues regarding physical healthcare needs in general terms; this includes Infection control, screening programmes and site specific requirements, depending on the clinical speciality.
  • To deliver high quality clinical assessment, treatment and care to a defined group of service users within a hospital setting.

What you'll bring to the role

Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN), with 2 years post registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme. Consideration will be given to Nurses registered in MH or LD services if they demonstrate competence in the requirements for the role Qualified Mentor or to achieve within 12 months of coming into post.
