[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Hospital Kneesworth Houseis looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to join the team. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Maintains a well-decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the site, in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.
  • Ensures that [Employer hidden] minimum standards are delivered in all site areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
  • Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues to the Maintenance Manager (and then actions as agreed) to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.
  • Carry out General Maintenance tasks as defined in the Appendix and in the General Property Maintenance Guide.

We’re looking for someone with basic numeracy and literacy skills who is detail-oriented and able to prioritise tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with minimal supervision, while maintaining a strong customer-focused attitude and a collaborative team ethic. Experience or a background in building, plumbing, mechanical, or electrical disciplines would be advantageous.
