Consultant Psychologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychologist to join the Psychology Team at [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Hospital Cardiff. [Employer hidden] Hospital Cardiff is a modern mental health treatment unit. The unit includes a variety of facilities, such as three secure gardens, a gym, a hydrotherapy pool, patient practice kitchens, patient social area, art rooms and dedicated support service areas. [Employer hidden] Hospital Cardiff is a 3 Bed Bespoke Therapeutic Placement service. This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week across 3 days.  Pro Rata salary for this role is £40,168.00.

What you'll be doing

The unit will provide a modern, homely environment promoting independence, whilst employing an experienced Multi-Disciplinary Team to oversee and support patient progress. As a Registered Psychologist you’ll work alongside colleagues from Psychiatry, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Social Work to provide high quality care. The Psychologist we are looking for will be experienced in assessment and formulation to help determine the treatment needs of individual service users. A background in Positive Behaviour Support would be beneficial. The role will also include providing training to staff, running reflective practice, writing risk assessments and providing individual and group interventions, to meet the needs of the population.

Essential Requirements Post-graduate qualification in clinical or forensic psychology and Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Registered Psychologist. The candidate should have experience of working with complex clients and supporting staff teams. Preferable Experience of working in a forensic setting, HCR-20 trained and experience in the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model.
