Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (PBS)
We are looking for a PBS Practitioner in the South East - East Midlands & Lincs. This is located in Northampton. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate best practices in the implementation of PBS, working with individuals, colleagues, and key stakeholders, including families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop and implement PBS plans, including conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments as required.
- Lead the reduction of restrictive practices for individuals where appropriate
- Collaborate with site leaders to develop and deliver person-centred risk management procedures
- Conduct incident analysis and debrief sessions
- Provide associated staff training and support development of colleagues
- Provide peer support, including mentorship of trainee and newly recruited PBS practitioners.
- Attend and contribute to internal and external meetings as required
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and statutory regulations
- Complete mandatory and additional training relevant to the role as required

The ideal candidate will hold a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support or a related field, with experience conducting behavioural assessments and developing effective interventions for individuals with challenging behaviours. They will have a background in supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism, a solid understanding of relevant legal frameworks, and the ability to work in demanding situations. Strong leadership, communication, and report-writing skills are essential, along with experience delivering PBS training and reducing restrictive practices. A full driver’s license and access to a vehicle for business use are also required.
