[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Hospital Middleton is looking to recruit a Night manager to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week.
What you'll be doing
To Provide Clinical Management and Leadership of the full nursing team on the site throughout the night shift time period, this includes being a highly visible role model and mentor to the broader nursing team. The post-holder has responsibility for overseeing and maintaining the highest standards of nursing care across site during the night shift. The role will act as a senior clinical member of the team, providing advice and support from a nursing perspective and will oversee and hold responsibility for the hospital and its resources. Reporting to our Director of Clinical Services, the Night Manager will work alongside the Unit Managers and coordinate the safe and appropriate management of the site throughout the night time delivery of care. · Manages the Hospital site and resources effectively, taking steps to ensure that appropriate staffing levels and skill mix of nursing experience and skills is in place to effectively manage the night time delivery across site. · Ensures that all members of the night time nursing team receive clinical supervision, appraisal, CPD requirements and complete mandatory training as required. · Addresses shortfalls in development and ensures that training and performance issues are addressed. What you'll bring to the role

Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. - Currently registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council as a first level nurse (RMN or RNLD), with at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity. - Post registration experience ideally of working in more than one of the clinical areas provided at the hospital - Experience of working as a Ward Manager / Deputy Manager / Senior nurse or equivalent role - Sound working knowledge of the Mental Health Act - Ability to undertake physical requirements of PMVA
