Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Warehouse/Relief Driver to join our team. This role involves operating within a busy warehouse environment, providing relief driving duties as required, and supporting various warehouse functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth handling of materials, stock management, and safe transportation of goods. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and mechanical knowledge is essential, alongside the ability to perform heavy lifting and utilise warehouse management systems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading goods
• Manage stock levels through picking & packing activities and stock replenishment
• Support warehouse management system (WMS) entries and updates using AS400 or similar platforms
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse
• Conduct mechanical checks on equipment and report any issues promptly
• Provide relief driving support for deliveries, ensuring timely transportation of goods
• Assist with construction-related tasks or materials handling as needed
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times

Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
• Familiarity with forklift operation and safety protocols is highly desirable
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems such as AS400 or equivalent systems
• Experience in materials handling, stock management, and shipping & receiving processes
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction-related tasks is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Proven capability in picking & packing orders accurately and swiftly
