FULL DESCRIPTION

Our client, a well-established and growing distribution business, is seeking a Quality Improvement Technician to join their team at a busy warehouse operation in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality to play a key role in maintaining standards, improving processes, and supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality inspections, including goods-in checks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Record, analyse, and report inspection outcomes to management
  • Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions
  • Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and maintain accurate records
  • Carry out Random Quality Checks (RQC’s) across products
  • Support internal audits, calibration activities, and document control
  • Ensure quality documentation is up to date and compliant with company procedures
  • Process product returns using internal systems
  • Assist in preparation for external audits and support training where required
  • Develop and maintain strong product knowledge
  • Promote a “Right First-Time” culture across the warehouse

  • Previous experience in a quality, warehouse, or distribution environment is desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
  • Confident in handling documentation and following structured processes
