FULL DESCRIPTION
Our client, a well-established and growing distribution business, is seeking a Quality Improvement Technician to join their team at a busy warehouse operation in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality to play a key role in maintaining standards, improving processes, and supporting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections, including goods-in checks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Record, analyse, and report inspection outcomes to management
- Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and maintain accurate records
- Carry out Random Quality Checks (RQC’s) across products
- Support internal audits, calibration activities, and document control
- Ensure quality documentation is up to date and compliant with company procedures
- Process product returns using internal systems
- Assist in preparation for external audits and support training where required
- Develop and maintain strong product knowledge
- Promote a “Right First-Time” culture across the warehouse

About You
- Previous experience in a quality, warehouse, or distribution environment is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
- Confident in handling documentation and following structured processes
