Description

I’m working with a well-regarded law firm in Kent that’s looking to bring in an experienced Legal Executive or Paralegal to join their established Court of Protection team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in Private Client or Court of Protection work who’s looking for a role with real client involvement and responsibility.

What’s nice about this position is the nature of the work itself. It’s very client-focused and requires a genuinely empathetic approach, so it would suit someone who enjoys building relationships and making a difference through the work they do.

The role itself
You’ll be part of a respected Court of Protection team, supporting on a range of matters and taking an active role in client care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and referrers
  • Managing client care from initial instruction through to file closure
  • Handling the financial aspects of matters
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of client and firm information
  • Supporting the wider team with duties as required

There may also be occasional client visits, so some travel will be involved.

Who this would suit

  • An experienced Legal Executive or Paralegal
  • Background in Private Client or Court of Protection work
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Someone empathetic, patient, and client-focused
  • Able to manage workloads and deadlines effectively
  • IT proficient, including MS Office and audio typing
  • A driver with access to a car

What you’ll get in return

  • A role with meaningful client interaction and responsibility
  • Flexibility with full-time or part-time working options
  • A supportive, close-knit team environment
  • The chance to specialise further within Court of Protection work
  • A competitive salary based on your experience
  • A stable, well-established firm with a strong local reputation

This is a great option for someone who enjoys client-focused work, wants to build on their existing experience, and is looking for a supportive team where they can develop long term.
