Description

If you’re looking for something a bit different — somewhere you’re not just a small part of a much bigger machine — this could be ideal for you.

I’m working with a long-established private practice that has built up a really strong reputation working with SME clients. They’ve got a loyal client base, plenty of repeat work, and the business is genuinely doing well, which has led to the need to grow the team.

They’re now looking to bring in a Commercial Property Solicitor with around 2+ years’ PQE who’s comfortable handling their own workload and particularly enjoys the client facing side of the role. Strong relationships are key here.

The work itself is varied and interesting. You’ll be involved in a mix of acquisitions and disposals of commercial property, acting for both landlords and tenants on leases, as well as dealing with lease renewals, variations, and general asset management work. There’s also exposure to things like secured lending and development-related matters, so you get a good spread rather than being boxed into one area.

A big part of the role is the client side of things. You’ll be working directly with SME businesses, getting to know how they operate and becoming a trusted point of contact rather than just picking up isolated pieces of work.

The team is down-to-earth, supportive, and very friendly. People are trusted to get on with their work, and there’s a good level of autonomy without feeling like you’re on your own. It’s the kind of place where you can build your experience, develop relationships, and actually feel part of what the firm is doing.

Initially they would prefer you work full time in the office but following a successful settling in period you will be able to work 2 days per week from home.

Excellent career development prospects are on offer as is a competitive salary.
