Head Of Marketing

Lead the development and execution of the company’s marketing strategy across all channels to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. This role is responsible for managing digital and print marketing activity, coordinating trade show participation, and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.

The Role:

This role is responsible for managing digital and print marketing activity, coordinating trade show participation, and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints. Working closely with sales, purchasing and senior leadership, the Head of Marketing will position the business as a leading food wholesale supplier within its target markets, including hospitality, catering, retail and foodservice sectors.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Manage and develop the marketing team and external agencies where required.
  • Plan and manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring strong ROI across all marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to support lead generation and customer retention initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent brand positioning and messaging across all channels

Digital Marketing

  • Oversee the company’s digital marketing strategy, including website, SEO, email marketing and social media.
  • Manage website content, optimisation and user experience.
  • Lead digital campaigns aimed at hospitality operators, retailers, and foodservice businesses.
  • Analyse digital performance using analytics tools and adjust campaigns to improve performance.
  • Implement CRM and marketing automation strategies to nurture leads and support the sales pipeline.

Print & Offline Marketing

  • Develop and manage printed marketing materials including product catalogues, brochures, flyers and promotional leaflets.
  • Oversee design, production and distribution of seasonal promotions and product launches.
  • Ensure consistency of branding across packaging, sales materials and customer communications.
  • Work with suppliers and product team to develop co-branded promotional campaigns.

Trade Shows & Industry Events

  • Plan, organise and manage the company’s participation in trade shows, exhibitions and industry events.
  • Coordinate stand design, promotional materials and product displays.
  • Manage pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up campaigns to convert leads into customers.
  • Identify relevant industry events that support brand visibility and business growth.

Brand & Content

  • Oversee brand development and ensure all communication align with the company’s brand identity.
  • Manage the creation of engaging content including product features, supplier stories, recipes, and industry insights.
  • Support supplier partnerships and marketing initiatives to promote key product ranges.
  • Ensure marketing activity supports seasonal trends and customer needs with the foodservice sector.

Additional Duties:

You will provide additional assistance as per your line managers instruction which may require you to assist in other depots and departments of the business.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within food wholesale, foodservice, FMCG, or hospitality supply.
  • Strong experience across both digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Experience planning and managing trade shows and industry exhibitions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing strategies that drive measurable growth.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience managing agencies, designers and external suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience:
