FULL DESCRIPTION

What you'll do

You'll receive structured training and hands-on mentoring from experienced Engineers, giving you exposure to real automation and control systems while building your technical confidence and capability from day one, including:

  • PLC programming and understanding control logic
  • HMI development and SCADA system configuration
  • working with telemetry systems used across operational sites
  • testing, commissioning and fault-finding on live equipment
  • fibre networks and industrial communication technologies
  • Site-based automation works as part of real project delivery.

What you'll need

You'll bring the mindset and enthusiasm needed to grow in the role, along with the foundations that will help you succeed, including:

  • a STEM background or some engineering experience (useful but not essential)
  • a genuine interest in how things work and developing technical skills
  • a logical, problem-solving approach
  • good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
  • reliability, organisation and a willingness to learn from others
  • basic IT familiarity and an understanding of safe working practices
  • a desire to build a long-term career in automation and the confidence to ask questions.
