Are you an ambitious engineering graduate looking to kick-start your career in mechanical and electrical (M&E) project delivery? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate M&E Project Engineer, supporting the delivery of M&E installations across potable and wastewater environments.
What you'll do
As an Associate M&E Project Engineer, you will support our in-house engineering and construction teams in the planning, procurement, coordination and delivery of M&E projects across the region.
You'll be assisting with engineering input during the design and construction phases of projects.
You'll also be:
- supporting the review of design information to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
- helping to identify opportunities for innovation, sustainability and improved efficiency
- providing on-site support to construction teams during construction and commissioning
- assisting with the procurement of mechanical and electrical equipment in line with cost and programme requirements
- supporting the preparation of technical elements of contracts and sub-contracts
- helping coordinate site visits, surveys and data collection to support design development
- contributing to progress monitoring and reporting for the M&E Project Manager
- assisting with the compilation and checking of operation and maintenance manuals and project completion documentation.
What you'll need
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate with a passion for engineering and a desire to develop a career in M&E project delivery.
You‘ll have:
- a degree or HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- a strong technical interest in mechanical and electrical systems
- a willingness to learn, ask questions and develop new skills
- good communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels
- the ability to manage your time, organise your workload and work proactively
- a problem-solving mindset with the ability to think creatively
- an interest in pursuing professional registration (eg, EngTech, IEng, CEng)
- good organisational skills
- positive attitude with the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
- proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
