FULL DESCRIPTION
What you'll do
In this varied role, you will:
- provide a cash and payment service in a manner consistent with the objectives of the company
- process purchase invoices and action supplier queries
- prepare pay runs on a daily/weekly basis and action urgent payments as required
- effectively and promptly deal with supplier reminders, final demands, and legal notices
- ensure accurate and timely payment to suppliers/contractors in accordance with Late Payment Legislation
- verify subcontractors' CIS deductions and make/check relevant postings
- update and maintain supplier accounts
- provide support in the management of day-to-day Treasury department matters, including the input and release of payments and files processed through the online banking portal
- produce monthly reports
- assist with ad hoc requests and administration duties as and when required.
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you will:
- be qualified to GCSE level or equivalent, in English and mathematics
- have proven capability within an accounts payable capacity
- have experience using Microsoft Office, with strengths in Excel and Word
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills, both face-to-face and on the telephone
- be able to manage your own workload effectively, working to key service levels
- be confident, assertive and self-motivated
- have a 'can do' and proactive attitude
- appreciate the importance and strengths of working within a team.
A working knowledge of Unit 4 Agresso is advantageous but not essential.
