What you'll do

Your role will involve building and maintaining financial models to assist the wider financial team in the preparation of budgets, forecasting and management account packs. 

You will play a crucial role in supporting the wider finance team, gaining experience across different functions.

As part of our team, you will also provide general support to our Finance department and the wider business as needed, contributing to the maintenance of all financial models. 

Your duties will also include:

  • building, maintaining and improving financial models for the finance team
  • taking ownership of model usability and restrictive access to improve accessibility whilst retaining model integrity
  • developing and maintaining model logic, assumptions and methodologies for transparency and audit purposes 
  • supporting the development of standardised reporting tools and templates
  • supporting monthly project reporting and KPI tracking
  • preparing clear, concise financial reports and dashboards for Finance and other internal teams
  • designing and developing robust financial & data models to support the Finance Team, supporting controls and process efficiency improvements 
  • staying current with industry trends, financial modelling best practices and relevant software tools
  • assisting with ad-hoc projects as required.

What you'll need

Advanced proficiency in Excel.

Preferably working towards a recognised accountancy qualification or have a desire to begin studying ACCA/CIMA, but not mandatory.

Experience working in a similar role or demonstrable appetite to progress from current role.

Evidencable desire to learn/develop financial modelling skillset, with relevant background or transferable skills.

Higher/Further education qualification.

Knowledge of the development/construction industry a bonus.

Experience using financial systems.
