Assistant Merchandiser
As an Assistant Merchandiser at [Employer hidden], you will become part of a team that is key to managing stock and sales in the business. In this role, you will be working with all Product Teams across [Employer hidden], assisting to build a range which is forward thinking and commercial, as well as trading teams to maximise sales and profit opportunities.
The role and your skills:
- Analysing
- You will provide analysis of sales; highlighting opportunities and risk to build out hindsight packs and future season Range plans.
- Undertake ad-hoc analysis of performance.
- Reacting
- Review trade to identify actions to maximise sales opportunities.
- Confidently present in trade meetings with support from Merchandiser.
- Work closely with trading teams across all channels.
- Managing
- You will be responsible for managing and assessing range plans for the necessary departments and recommending changes to the Merchandiser on range width and depth
- Owning line cards for continuity products, understanding lead times and reviewing regional splits
- Reviewing lifecycle of products.
- Manage and be accountable for line lists and Buy Plans
- Work closely with Product Management and Supply Chain on new season intake margins, making suggestions to resolve any issues.
- Ensure good relationship with Wholesale, clearly communicating range changes, and sales risks and opportunities.
- Working closely with with Supply Chain and Logistics on intake management.
- Forecasting
- In season WSSI & OTB management; producing re-forecasts of sales/stock/profit for review
- Forecasting and planning sales and buys inline with the Open to Buy (OTB)
Do you have the following?
- Approximately 3 years’ experience in Merchandising or in a similar data & analytics role
- Strong analytical, numerical and Excel skills (inc advanced formula and Pivot Tables)
- Great interpersonal and communication skills. Supporting to build a motivated and effective team.
- Proven experience in development and progression of MAAs.
- Strong organisational skills and a get the job done mindset
- The ability to work under pressure and take on constructive criticism
- Flexibility and enthusiasm
- The ability to bring your A game and work to strict deadlines
- A proactive approach to problem solving
