About the Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced property finance professional to lead origination, relationship management, and market development across the region.
As Business Development Lead – North England, you will be responsible for driving new business growth, managing key relationships, and leading a team of Relationship Managers and Assistant Relationship Managers.
You’ll combine strategic leadership with hands-on commercial delivery, ensuring growth is achieved in line with credit, operational, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a regional team of Relationship Managers and Assistants.
- Drive origination and relationship development to grow the loan book across the North.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, brokers, and intermediaries.
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company goals.
- Ensure robust credit discipline and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Represent the business across the Northern property finance market.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to deliver group-wide growth initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in property development finance, specialist lending, or commercial real estate funding.
- Strong market knowledge and established network across the Northern UK property sector.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Commercially astute, strategically minded, and risk-aware.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
