FULL DESCRIPTION

About the Role

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking to appoint a calm, resilient, and highly organised individual to lead our Reset Room. The Reset Room forms a key part of our behaviour, inclusion, and safeguarding strategy and is designed to support students to reflect on their behaviour, continue their learning, and successfully reintegrate back into mainstream lessons.

This role is not punitive in nature. Instead, the Reset Room provides a structured, consistent environment where students are supported to take responsibility for their actions, repair relationships where appropriate, and re-engage positively with learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Reset Room, ensuring it is calm, purposeful, inclusive, and well-structured
  • Supervise and support students, maintaining high expectations for behaviour, learning, and conduct
  • Ensure students complete appropriate curriculum work during their time in the Reset Room
  • Facilitate reflection and restorative conversations that support accountability and positive change
  • Work closely with Heads of Year, SEND staff, and senior leaders to plan effective reintegration
  • Contribute to early identification of need and support graduated responses to behaviour
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to behaviour monitoring, evaluation, and improvement
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote a culture of inclusion and respect

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school or alternative provision setting
  • Demonstrate calm, consistent, and confident behaviour management
  • Be skilled at building positive relationships, particularly with vulnerable or disengaged students
  • Be reflective, solution-focused, and committed to inclusion and equity
  • Be organised, resilient, and able to work effectively as part of a wider pastoral team

What We Offer:

  • A strong, values-driven behaviour culture with clear systems and expectations
  • A supportive leadership team with a clear focus on inclusion and reintegration
  • Opportunities for training and professional development
  • The opportunity to make a measurable difference to student engagement, behaviour, and outcomes
