THE WORK:
As a Developer Advocate, you will develop and lead initiatives related to engaging, supporting, enabling, and growing the global XRP community of developers around the XRP Ledger. You are passionate about connecting with developers, fostering community, and speaking about technologies externally to educate users.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to developers and startups, assisting them in understanding how to build and scale on the XRP Ledger
- Provide guidance and coaching to help startups on prototypes, demos, and MVPs, advising on technical roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, or other challenges
- Review program applications and ensure projects are aligned with ecosystem needs and [Employer hidden]’s strategic objectives
- Develop frameworks to assess startup technical strength, viability, and market fit.
- Serve as a liaison between startups and internal technical resources, as well as to external SMEs and resources within the broader ecosystem, such as portfolio startups, investors, and mentors
- Develop and lead technical workshops, group learning sessions, and other technical content and modules to accelerate XRPL integration
- Review and approve milestone/progress reports for funded projects to ensure they are meeting technical goals
- Partner with funding program managers to create and execute technical content and workflows for projects and operational partners in the Accelerator, Bootcamp, and Grants.
- Be the voice, eyes, ears, and face of the XRPL community by speaking with, observing, listening to, and engaging developers directly all over the world
- Work with internal stakeholders across product, engineering, data, and growth to build strong bi-directional feedback loops and influence roadmaps
- Speak at conferences, meetups, and events about the XRPL, use cases, projects, and upcoming products and features
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 5+ years of experience in a developer, developer manager, developer advisor, or developer relations role
- 5+ years of experience in fast-paced environments within technology, startups, and entrepreneurship
- Competency in programming in Python, Java, or Javascript
- Experience with APIs, developer communities, open-source, and developer ecosystems
- Experience advising startups through product and technical challenges, helping startups achieve product market fit, and knowledge of common startup issues and pain points
- Understanding and engagement within the venture and startup ecosystem, and having an existing network within that ecosystem is a plus
- Knowledge of blockchain, cryptocurrency or blockchain technology ecosystem
- Comfortable with a minimal amount of direction and high expectations
- Ability and willingness to travel worldwide for meetings and events around the globe
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders.
