Job Description

In this pivotal and exciting role, reporting to the Group Company Secretary, you'll take a lead role in ensuring the smooth running of board and committee meetings for [Employer hidden] plc and principal subsidiaries. This is an important role in the [Employer hidden] Group with an expectation that you will provide a best in class board support service in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • To manage the organisation of the annual board/committee meetings calendar
  • To manage the logistical and administrative arrangements for the plc board and committee meetings and other board/committee events
  • To assist with the provision of support for non-executive directors, including arrangements for onboarding and training
  • To prepare agendas, skeleton minute production, maintenance of action logs, review and circulation of board papers for plc and principal subsidiaries
  • To assist with the logistical and technical arrangements for the AGM
  • To assist with the team’s input to the financial audit and the annual report and accounts
  • Maintain accurate statutory registers, via our entity management system (Diligent Entities)
  • Being the owner of the board portal
  • Support with governance queries from the business

Qualifications

  • At least two years’ experience working in a fast paced company secretary function
  • Experience in the coordination and administering of corporate and senior level board/committee meetings
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proven ability and substantial experience of prioritising and organising a large, complex and busy workload
  • Proficient in company secretarial software (board portal and entity management)
  • Pragmatic, flexible and organised with excellent attention to detail
