Job Description
In this pivotal and exciting role, reporting to the Group Company Secretary, you'll take a lead role in ensuring the smooth running of board and committee meetings for [Employer hidden] plc and principal subsidiaries. This is an important role in the [Employer hidden] Group with an expectation that you will provide a best in class board support service in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- To manage the organisation of the annual board/committee meetings calendar
- To manage the logistical and administrative arrangements for the plc board and committee meetings and other board/committee events
- To assist with the provision of support for non-executive directors, including arrangements for onboarding and training
- To prepare agendas, skeleton minute production, maintenance of action logs, review and circulation of board papers for plc and principal subsidiaries
- To assist with the logistical and technical arrangements for the AGM
- To assist with the team’s input to the financial audit and the annual report and accounts
- Maintain accurate statutory registers, via our entity management system (Diligent Entities)
- Being the owner of the board portal
- Support with governance queries from the business
Qualifications
- At least two years’ experience working in a fast paced company secretary function
- Experience in the coordination and administering of corporate and senior level board/committee meetings
- Exceptionally strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Proven ability and substantial experience of prioritising and organising a large, complex and busy workload
- Proficient in company secretarial software (board portal and entity management)
- Pragmatic, flexible and organised with excellent attention to detail
