FULL DESCRIPTION

Winn Group is seeking a Solicitor/Team Leader to oversee a Debt Recovery team. Responsibilities include managing paralegals, conducting litigation, ensuring client retention, and maximizing debt recovery. The role requires 1-3 years PQE, strong litigation knowledge, and experience with Civil Procedure Rules and Debt Pre-Action Protocols.

Responsibilities

  • As a Solicitor/Team Leader in our Debt Recovery team, you will supervise a team of Debt Recovery Paralegals.
  • Conduct and authorise litigation within the Debt Recovery team.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head and Deputy Head of Department to ensure that the team’s performance targets are met.
  • Support in the training and development of your team.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with your team.
  • Support with Client retention.
  • Maximise debt recovery for the Business.
  • Commencement of the Debt Pre-Action Protocol.
  • Negotiating with Debtors.
  • Carry out residency and other searches, assessing Debtors ability to pay.
  • Issuing of Part 7 proceedings and making applications.
  • Drafting Court Documents, to include applications for Attachment of Earnings Orders, and Charging Orders. Liaising with High Court Enforcement Agents.
  • Drafting Witness Statements.
  • Preparing cases for Trial.

Working Hours

This role is Full Time based on 40 Hours per week.

We are fully office based, and your typical working week will be Monday to Friday working flexibility between the hours of 7.00am – 7.00pm.

Expected Skills and Experience

  • 1-3 years PQE, admitted in England.
  • Strong litigation knowledge and experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a leadership role or similar relevant experience.
