FULL DESCRIPTION

Maths Lecturer

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] group is looking for a Lecturer in Maths to join our Berkshire College of Agriculture (BCA) team on a permanent, full-time basis. The Lecturer in Maths primary responsibilities include delivering high-quality teaching and support, fostering student engagement and progression, and ensuring successful course completion.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and support
  • Fostering student engagement and progression
  • Ensuring successful course completion
  • Developing and implementing teaching programs that promote independent learning and continuous student progression
  • Monitoring and evaluating student progress, prepare them for exams, and manage Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
  • High student attendance and participation in administrative and strategic meetings are expected, alongside supporting extracurricular activities that contribute to student career and personal growth.

Required qualifications

  • Relevant degree or vocational training
  • A teaching qualification or the intent to obtain one
  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths GCSE and Functional Skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Adherence to the college’s policies on diversity, equality, risk management, health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection is also essential.
