We’re looking for a friendly and passionate Assistant F&B Operations Manager to join our team.
The Role
As an Assistant F&B Operations Manager, you will support F&B Operations Manager and day-to-day management of all Food & Beverage and Meetings & Events operations. You will ensure both short-term and long-term departmental goals are met while delivering exceptional guest experiences in line with the brand standards of DoubleTree by Hilton London West End.
In this role, you will help drive revenue and profitability by implementing effective marketing and upselling strategies, monitoring performance, and controlling operational costs. You will also maintain high standards of service and product quality, support team development, and ensure all operations align with the hotel’s business plan.
Working closely with the F&B Operations Manager, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of operations, elevate guest satisfaction, and support the overall commercial success of the Food & Beverage department.
Other accountabilities include:
- Lead the daily operations of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring brand standards and service excellence are consistently delivered.
- Support the Food & Beverage Manager in achieving departmental goals including guest satisfaction, revenue growth, and profitability.
- Maintain a hands-on leadership approach, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and strong team performance across all F&B outlets.
- Monitor and analyse departmental costs, including wage control and discount management, taking corrective action where necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of F&B and Meetings & Events areas to ensure facilities, equipment and presentation meet company standards.
- Audit food and beverage service quality regularly and implement strategies to continuously improve guest experience.
- Review daily reservation lists, arrivals, VIP guests and event schedules to ensure teams are prepared to deliver exceptional service.
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing initiatives, promotions and campaigns to drive revenue and market awareness.
- Analyse financial and operational reports to identify trends and implement performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, licensing requirements, health & safety regulations and food safety standards.
- Support recruitment, training and development of team members to build a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
- Work closely with management on performance reviews, coaching, employee relations matters and succession planning.
- Foster a positive team culture through effective communication, regular team briefings and monthly departmental meetings.
- Act as Duty Manager when required, ensuring smooth hotel operations and high levels of guest satisfaction.
