Electrician
Electrician
An Electrician, or a Wireman, installs and repairs electrical power systems in businesses, homes, factories and public spaces. Their main duties include planning the layout of electrical wiring, diagnosing electrical problems and conducting general electrical maintenance.
Entry requirements for this job:
- Must have 2+ years of experience
- High range of mobility in all necessary areas
- Excellent teamwork to achieve flawless results
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Trade school certificate
- English Language - You must prove you can read, write, speak and understand English to at least level B1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale/ IELTS 4.0+ level OR must be a native English Speaker
Tasks required by this job include:
- Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
- Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
- Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
- Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
- Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
- Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
- Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
