FULL DESCRIPTION
Brick Layer
Bricklayers lay bricks, pre-cut stone and concrete blocks in mortar. They construct, extend and repair domestic and commercial buildings, and other structures such as foundations, walls, chimneys or decorative masonry work.
Entry requirements for this job:
- Must have 2+ years of experience
- High range of mobility in all necessary areas
- Excellent teamwork to achieve flawless results
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Trade school certificate
- English Language - You must prove you can read, write, speak and understand English to at least level B1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale/ IELTS 4.0+ level OR must be a native English Speaker
Tasks required by this job include:
- Take down and rebuild or build new, brick or block walls as necessary.
- Identify and rectify defects in brickwork as required.
- Cut out brickwork and clean out cavity, reinstate brickwork as required.
- Prepare and lay concrete footings for brickwork.
- Remove and relay concrete paths.
- Lift and relay/renew paving stones.
- Renew concrete floors including excavation.
- Rake out and re-point brickwork.
