However, if you're keen to learn and have experience working in fast-paced retail environments, then we would love to hear from you. As an Optical Assistant, you’ll use your passion for the [Employer hidden] brand, products and services alongside your incredible customer service skills, to create an outstanding store environment for both our customers and our team.

Based in Darlington, our store is looking for someone passionate and enthusiastic to support the team and offer excellent customer service.

What we’re looking for?

If this is still sounding like a bit of you, we do need you to have a few skills to get started as an Optical Assistant. These include:

  • Previous optical experience as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant or a willingness to learn
  • Passion for providing excellent customer service and making customers’ lives easier
  • Great teamwork
  • A good initiative
  • Confidence in using IT systems
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Prepared to step out of your comfort zone and try something new
  • Able to receive feedback and be open to development, knowing we’ll be there to support and guide you throughout your process (with your openness and our guidance, your opportunities will be endless).
