Operations Apprentice

Speedy are the UK’s leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services – everything for every job! We are looking to recruit an Operations Apprentice to work within our Brighton Regional Service Centre. The Operations Apprentice role is brand new to Speedy and it will enable the successful candidate to become multiskilled in depot operations.  Over 18 months you will learn: T&R - This is 'Test & Run' which means you will learn how to test our equipment and check it is safe and working properly when it is returned from customers in order to get it ready to be hired again. How to be a 'General Assistant' which involves tasks such as helping to load and unload our vehicles, admin work and helping to keeping the depot clean, tidy and organised. How to be a 'Hire Controller'.  A Hire Controller is on the frontline of operations and customer service.  Building relationships is really important as a Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the initial order from a customer, talking to your colleagues in the depot to organise the order, right through to arranging delivery and collection of the equipment for the customer.
