Support the delivery of a vibrant programme of student focused events and fundraising activity as an Events & Fundraising Lead with [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk], playing a key role in enhancing the student experience within a higher education environment. This permanent position will include coordinating flagship events, supporting student led initiatives and developing fundraising and sponsorship opportunities. The role offers broad exposure across event planning, stakeholder engagement and fundraising, making it well suited to someone looking to build and develop their career in events and fundraising within a collaborative, values led organisation.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Coordinating the planning and delivery of flagship Students’ Union events, including Welcome Week and major annual activities.
- Supporting departments, student societies and elected officers with events, campaigns and engagement initiatives.
- Developing, supporting and delivering fundraising activities and campaigns in line with agreed objectives.
- Assisting with identifying sponsorship and partnership opportunities linked to events and activities.
- Managing event logistics, including venues, bookings, equipment and operational planning.
- Liaising with University departments and external suppliers to ensure smooth event delivery
- Ensuring events are delivered safely, within budget and in line with health and safety requirements.
- Supporting and guide student volunteers involved in events and fundraising activities.
- Maintaining accurate records, reporting and financial documentation related to events and fundraising.
Applicants to this role require
- Previous experience supporting or coordinating events, activities or projects.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- A practical, solutions?focused approach to problem solving.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience within a students’ union, university or charity environment would be advantageous.
- A flexible and proactive attitude, with willingness to support evening and weekend events when required.
